The default billing method is set on a per-Matter basis and applies to all billable time entered for that Matter.

Different billing methods when adding billable time include:

1. Billable: charges the client, shows on Invoice.
2. Non-Billable: doesn't charge client, doesn't show on Invoice.
3. No-Charge: doesn't charge client, shows on Invoice.

Use the drop-down to select your Default Matter Billing Type. It is suggested that you choose a Default Matter Billing Type that matches the Matter billing method (hourly, flat-fee, or contingency).
