What is the difference between a 'Closed' Matter and a 'Completed' Matter?

Completed Matters are matters which have been resolved but remain active for billing purposes.

Completed Matters can be searched for by typing their name into the Global Search Bar (located at the top of your Rocket Matter screen). In addition, Completed Matters are listed under the Client's contact record, they can be searched for in the 'Matters' report and by using 'Advanced Search'.

Closed Matters are matters which are inactive. You cannot bill time for a 'closed' matter. In order to close the matter, you must resolve all pending billable activity.

Closed Matters cannot be searched for by typing their name into the Global Search Bar. They are listed under the associated Client's contact record, or they can be located using the 'Matters' report, or  'Advanced Search'.
