RM Trust: How to request a retainer for a Client.
1. Using the global search bar, navigate to the Client's profile.
2. Click on the Client Trust Ledger 'Balance' to view all Trust Accounts for this Client.
3. While viewing this page, click to 'Request Retainer'.
4. Select the 'Retainer Type', either 'Trust Account' or 'Matter Operating'. The Client information will auto-populate since we navigated to this screen through their Client profile.
5. Then, enter the 'Retainer Amount' and select 'Send Retainer Request'.
The email address selected will be the email that the Client will receive the payment link to pay the retainer request.
TIP: If you have more than one email address for your client, you can navigate to the contact record and add the additional email in the Home Email field. This will prompt you to select between either the Work Email or Home Email when requesting your retainer.
