Payments: What is a reference number when making a payment?

A reference number is an optional field that is available when making payments throughout Rocket Matter. It is used to capture the unique identifier associated with your payment method, if applicable.

WHERE CAN I ADD REFERNECE NUMBERS?

1. Add a reference number when adding payments to the operating, or trust account.

2. Add a reference number when adding payments via the invoices section.

3. Reporting.

Reference numbers can also be viewed in the 'I want to see all payments towards all invoices' report.

Click the blue 'Export' button to export the results into excel.
