How to request a retainer for a specific Matter's operating account with Rocket Matter Pay.

1. To request a retainer for a specific Matter, search for the Matter name using the global search at the top of the screen and select the Matter.

2. While viewing the Matter, click the 'Add New' button, and click 'Retainer Request'.

3. Specify the amount you'd like to request and select 'Send Retainer Request'.

TIP: If you have more than one email address for your client, you can navigate to the contact record and add the additional email in the Home Email field. This will prompt you to select between either the Work Email or Home Email when requesting your retainer.

4. The Client will receive an email requesting them to pay the retainer.

5. The Client can enter their payment information.

6. Review Payment Details and click 'Pay'.

Once the payment is processed, the operating account (Matter ledger) will be updated.
