  • You can change your default Invoice Template to any Invoice Template stored in your "Custom Invoice Template" section.  Rocket Matter can store multiple invoice templates.  If your system does not already house the Invoice Template that you want to apply as default, create another Invoice Template, and upload it to your Rocket Matter system.

  • Rocket Matter offers 6 pre-formatted invoice template. You can use these Invoice Templates 'as-is' or your can download them, customize them, and re-upload them into Rocket Matter to use as your template.

  • Rocket Matter Invoice Templates are essentially Word documents with 'Invoice Template Merge Fields' embedded in them.

    To edit a Rocket Matter Invoice Template, you need to download it (or access your existing Word document on your hard drive), and open it in Word.  Once you've edited your document, you can upload the modified document back into Rocket Matter for use as your new Invoice Template.

    Template Basics.

    Invoices are completely customizable, so you can create polished invoices which reflect your firm's logo and style.  

    Invoice Templates are essentially Word documents with embedded 'Invoice Template Mergefields'.  When you run your invoices, the mergefields pull your Rocket Matter accounting data into the invoices.  This ensures that your invoices reflect the most up-to-date billing activity.

     

    To edit your Invoice Template, you can select one of Rocket Matter's 6 pre-formatted templates, or you can download your existing template.

    How do I choose one of Rocket Matter's 6 pre-formatted templates?

     

    When you download your template, it will be located in your downloads folder, to be opened in Word.

    Once your Template is opened in Word, you can edit your document using Word's robust word processing capabilities.

    How do I edit and upload Invoice Templates?

     

    Here are some of the ways our Clients customize their Invoices:

    -  Add your Firm's Logo to the first and/or subsequent pages by pasting the Logo into your Word Document.

    How to use Rocket Matter Pay.

    Rocket Matter Payments enables you to automatically send an invoice to your client by email.  Rocket Matter Payment emails are fully customizable, and your Clients can access a Payment Page directly from the email, where they can make payments towards their invoices or Trust Accounts.  

    Following are instructions on how you would set up automatic invoice sharing, and how your Clients can quickly view and pay their invoices directly from their Rocket Matter Payments email:

  • Invoices can be shared automatically with contacts through Email or through Portal.  Once automatic invoice sharing is enabled, every time you run an invoice (whether run individually or in batch form) it will be shared automatically with the specified contact.

    When Rocket Matter Payments are enabled, your clients receive an email with the invoice attached,and a link to a payments page, where invoices can be paid directly and securely.  

    When LawPay is enabled in your account, your clients can log into their Portal account and pay their invoices via LawPay.
